Update, update, update!

Ahh that lovely scent of overheating printer and ink...

Im currently printing out another 214 or so pages of lecture notes, ones that i missed from the 400 or so that ive already printed. fun fun. yesterday i found out that i have TWO practical classes late at night; one on monday from 6pm-9pm and the other on wednesday, 7pm till 9pm. GREAT. ill explain more in my next update, which will hopefully be made from my own computer instead of the colleges computers. then i'll be able to upload photos for you...

uni's been alright so far. im actually starting to really miss my family, pets, and of course, you guys. ive literally got noone to talk to up here everynight, and im always looking forward to when mum calls me everynight cause then i have someone to talk to. yeah..

the red tailed black cockatoos up here are AWESOME! i went to a beach north of the strand on the last two weekends, on teh first i noticed the cockatoos, the second i actually went and sat amongst them while they were in the trees. they are there every weekend, and probably every day during the week as well. they eat these really big green nuts that are about the size of my palm, literally. i quickly found out it wasnt sucha good idea to sit under the trees that the cockatoos were in cause those nuts hurt if they hit you... i got some pretty sweet photos of them flying, so thats pretty good i spose, considering my aim is to get good photos of every animal i see.. yes, i also took some scenery pictures for mum. i tell you the beaches up here arnt NEARLY as great. darker browny kinda sand, thats courser(sp?) than the stuff down south... and the water dosn't look great and ill never go swimming there cause of all the dangerous jellyfish.. fancy that; im afraid of my favourite dessert- jelly.

so yeah. im still waiting for these things to finish printing. ill mention more about townsville later, as i said, when i have my own computer and can upload a few photos for those of you who are actually interested. ok, adios, i got too much stuff to do! (besides waiting for this really slow printer..)

Good to hear that you've got stuff to do laura!

Just think, it could be worse. You could have noone to talk to AND nothing to do.

Oh, and i wanna see photos once you can get em up =P

IF i can ever get em up lol. I think i'd ratherhave noone to talk to and nothing to do. then at least i dont have to do anything. lmao. i dont like the pressure of assignments, especially when i cant do the research to find information for the assignments cause i dunno how to find anythin in the library.. its too big and... airconditioned.. mhmm airconditioning. at least, unlike school, EVERY building i enter has freezing air con. i actually get GOOSEBUMPS its so cold in those rooms.. when i get out,i have to wat for about 10mins while i defrost!

hahahaha, jelly. jelly is the yum. man, that's a lot of lecture notes. do they have the whole semester's notes up before it even starts? here at griff-tafe (what my UQ and QUT workmates call griffith) they come out each week, about monday or so, so i just print em and bind em into a folder for each subject when i get em. and i'm looking forward to the photos too!

my lecturers for each subject change. for example, for the first two TV1102 lectures (just a biology-ish course) i had one lecturer who put his powerpoints up before the lecture started (during o-week) and then the lecturer changed. the new lecturer is annoyin cause he only uploads the notes JUST before a lecture so i cant take them with me... but with AG1002 ive got the first 8 lectures (about 4 weeks worth) and yeah... wish i could get em further ahead. oh well. im gonna be in a panic this afternoon and tomorrow.. so much due next week and i havnt started it, ive been too busy... cant work on it till 1:30pm today cause ive got an essay wrinting skills course thingy... which i had to pay for, so im still going...

You'll get into the swing of things soon enough. It's really rough starting out, but things do slow down once you get into a rhythm. Rhythm is a dumb word.

mhmm.. gotta go answer lots of questions about bovine feedlot acidosis. wewt. basically cattle eat too much while in feedlots (hundreds to thousands of cattle in pens, being fed grain 24-7) which then ferments, resulting in a build up of acid in the cattles rumen (basically one of their stomachs) and they can die from it.. acidosis happens when the pH of the rumen drops below 5.5... uh.. mhmm.. yeah. useless information there for ya'z! hmm.. yeah.. shutting up now.
